Canada's Professional School of Music & Arts in Mississauga offers a variety of fun and educational dance classes for children of all ages, including toddler and preschool dance, ballet, jazz, hip hop, lyrical, tap, acro and more.
We offer both recreational and competitive programs. Students develop technique, confidence and performance skills while learning choreography for our year-end recital at Meadowvale Theatre in Mississauga.
Dance Classes

Toddler Dance
Ages 1.5-3
This fun class is for children ages 1.5 -3 along with Mom or Dad. This is a great introduction to dancing for children just developing their coordination. The teacher guides the parent/tot team in a way that makes discovering movement, balance and listening skills easy and fun. This class is an excellent first group activity.

Princess Ballet
Ages 3-5
Princess ballet is an exciting class for "little ballerinas " ages 3-5.
Your child will learn creative movement, mime, musicality and the basics of ballet positioning. It's a fun way to introduce your child to ballet.

Move & Groove
Ages 3-5
Move and Groove is a fun dance class for both boys and girls. This class gives 3-5 year olds creative development, rhythmic skills and a foundation for motor development as well as imaginative play and FUN!!!
This Class includes ballet, jazz and acro. This means no more deciding between dance or gymnastics.

Kinder Hiphop
Ages 3-5
This class is for kids ages 3-5 and teaches foundational dance concepts such as learning rhythms, imitating choreography, and developing body control. All instruction takes place using kid-friendly Hip Hop music and movement, often integrated into games to keep our young ones motivated and having fun.

Ballet (ages 5+)
Ballet is the foundation of dance.
It teaches proper placement, alignment, balance, technique and control.
The focus is on body positioning, center and barre work and vocabulary/terminology.

Hip Hop (ages 5+)
This class is high-energy and tons of fun! Dancers will develop coordination, style and self-confidence. Hip Hop class is geared towards kids who are looking to have some fun and learn to groove just like their favourite Hip Hop and R&B music artists. This upbeat and fast-paced class is sure to engage and excite every child, and focuses on developing coordination, style and self-confidence.

Jazz/Hip Hop(ages 5+)
The Jazz/hip hop class teaches fundamental jazz steps and combines the elements of hip hop moves and contemporary music. Students learn the necessary elements of jazz which are crucial to success in hip hop, but also get to learn hip hop moves which require the coordination and balance learned from jazz.

Bollywood(ages 4+)
A Bollywood dance is an energetic and vibrant experience that combines traditional Indian dance forms with modern influences.Throughout the hour-long Bollywood dance session, participants are immersed in a lively and dynamic atmosphere, filled with infectious music and positive energy. The goal is not just to teach dance moves but to create an enjoyable experience that allows individuals to express themselves and have fun while embracing the rich cultural elements of Bollywood dance.

Acro/Lyrical
Contemprorary
Acro dance is a style of dance that combines classical dance technique with precision acrobatic elements. It is defined by its athletic character, its unique choreography, which seamlessly blends dance and acrobatics, and its use of acrobatics in a dance context.
Lyrical/Contemporary Dance is a fusion of styles that often uses techniques from jazz and ballet combined to create free movement. Students will have the opportunity to learn choreographic routines that will allow them to express various emotions and often tell a story through the music.
